Join us in December to discuss two projects centered on the Social Determinants of Health and how they impact all aspects of participatory medicine.
COVID-19. Uprisings for black lives. Elections. Wildfires. Q4 budgets. You're navigating a lot and so are your supporters. With the current state of the world many are wondering whether it’s already too late or it’s even okay to send out that year-end communication? The word from two Leadership Learning Lab faculty: No, it’s not too late and YES, absolutely you should send it.
Christie Perdue and Mark VanderKlipp will share their expertise in fund development, storytelling and strategic communications as together we talk through the challenges of making the case to request critical year-end resources.
Along with our project partner, the Northwest Michigan Coalition to End Homelessness, we will present the origin, process and findings of two overlapping initiatives to the 2020 Virtual Summit on Ending Homelessness.
Connect_CX will be attending this conference along with leadership from TiER1 Healthcare, Atrium Health, Cleveland Clinic, Massachusetts General Hospital, patient advocacy leaders and healthcare change agents from around the world.
Does COVID-19 crater the concept of participatory medicine or catapult it to new prominence? Sharing new opportunities and observations.
Graphic designer by day, community problem solver by... well also day. Mark VanderKlipp is a founding partner of the Human-centered design firm Connect_ CX. He's also a dedicated runner and a hard charging agent for positive change.

Storytelling is an art, for sure - but like any other artistic endeavor, it takes a process and good work to begin developing stories. The goal is to create common landmarks around an issue or idea that help to influence behavior. The focus of our discussion will be as much about preparing the storyteller(s) as it will be about developing the components of the narrative. Attendees will have time to craft and share their own stories for critique.
This event is presented by Huron Pines and will be hosted at the Alpena County George N. Fletcher Public Library.
Cost is $20 to attend and pre-registration is required.
